Disneyland Renal Friendly

Back from La Clayette

It's Monday morning. On Monday morning, I do not work. Luckily, right now, because it will allow me to land safely after a weekend somewhat timeless. I tell you, you'll understand.

Saturday and Sunday held the book fair in La Clayette. But siiiiiiiiiiiii La Clayette, 2000 inhabitants, a charming town south of Burgundy (I think it said "Charolais-Brion). Lounge nicely titled "New Fall" because it focuses mainly on the news, and that takes place in the fall. Logic.

Let us first place. To say that the shelf is a nice hometown, surrounded by beautiful scenery. We climbed Mount St. Cyr, Sunday morning before the reopening of the show, and we did not regret the ride. We walked the promenade along the lake and the castle, too. It's beautiful.

Besides being a beautiful place, The Rack is an amazing place when one is interested in culture. Little Village campaign, but real dynamic cultural policy and amazing, that manages to touch people at the fair. The hall is beautiful, able to accommodate both this kind of exhibition or live performance, and it is no coincidence. It is a choice. Hats off to City Hall, including Peter, who is cheerfully cultural activities.

To get to the show itself. It is established by the association "letters to the green, behind which some recognize Pascal Arnaud (editions of" a black so blue ") and Corinne Pourtau, author. I am told they had been sustained and supported, seriously, by volunteers of the library. It was the second edition this year, and we can bet there will be lots of following the contrary would be a pity. It is a show dedicated primarily to such "new", and small publishers. Point Germanopratins big house here. But small, passionate, all gathered for the love of books, literature, and for fun, too. It asks you immediately a great atmosphere. Whether one takes into default at any time.

So I went with my editor, Quadrature, to live beautiful moments around books. And I was not disappointed.

Amazing public than that of La Clayette, who comes to talk, meet, but also, clearly, to buy. The ratio of number of visitors / number of buyers is particularly high, there is ultimately little of "onlookers" at the show. This proves that the appetite of people for these literatures, provided we take the penalty of their tender perch. Nice finding.

What a pleasure to discuss with people just passing by and stopping without fear of being "harangue." Watching, open books, based, exchange a few words, you say "I go around and come back," and indeed, return. Sweet emotion, the lady who bought my book, asked me a dedication, and explain it for a couple of old friends. He has been blind for long, so his wife took the habit of reading books. Unless it is today suffering from the disease Alzheimer's and can no longer follow the reading of an entire novel. So new ... I hope they both find pleasure in reading.

And then there was a "price to fall further", awarded this year for the first time, a collection of short stories. 3 books were nominated, including mine. Jury of readers of the local libraries who had read the 3. And I was fortunate to win this award, which I'm rather proud. So Let's put things in their place, it is not the Goncourt, do not do more than necessary. But no less either, because being recognized by a panel of readers is a joy that I do not sulk. I also earned an original work of a young artist from La Clayette Desmurger Chrystal, and I love what she does (I had a crush on his models on display until you know that I will win One is mad as sometimes the world is well done). I saw people arrive directly at the stand Squaring, get my book in one hand agreed, saying "I read it, I want to offer it! "With enthusiasm for less touching and communicative. And then there were players who did not vote for me and that I have said, simply, with real arguments and profound kindness, and that too is a true gift.

course, there was also very friendly exchanges with other exhibitors, I can not mention everyone, but that deserve your attention. If you have time and inclination, the new blog Fall the lists, you can check it out.

last detail, I bought some chocolates at Dufoux because I was told they damn worth the detour, and uh ... I can confirm! (How does "nothing to do with literature?").

short, when you come back from the shelf, it is a bit out of time and out of the bustle of Paris, and it's just fine. Once again, thank you to everyone who helped make this beautiful weekend.

I'm not working this morning. Perfect timing. Will be able to land gently
